CANCER CROSSING ASSISTS RURAL MANITOBA HEAD AND NECK CANCER PATIENT WITH TRAVEL EXPENSES FOR MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS

Cancer Crossing has assisted a Western Manitoba woman who is experiencing the recurrence of head and neck cancer. The original cancer diagnosis and surgery was in mid 2018. She has had surgery for the 2019 recurrence and is anticipating six weeks of radiation treatment. She has made numerous trips to Winnipeg and back for appointments and tests and the cost of travel and accommodation has accumulated to the point that she is financially stressed.

Her sick benefit has expired and she has done a thorough search of potential sources of support for her particular situation. She is receiving CPP Disability. EIA is not an option at this time and she remains in a financial pinch.
Cancer Crossing has made a contribution towards her travel expenses to Winnipeg and back for her medical appointments during these challenging times.

Cancer Crossing helps those who 'fall between the cracks'.

Why not come out to our Bud and Spud Fundraiser on October 24th? Your participation will go directly to assist patients like this woman (and there are many) who end up in a crack in the system with nowhere to turn.
