CANCER CROSSING ASSISTS RURAL MANITOBA CANCER PATIENT WITH MEDICAL ACCOMMODATION
Cancer Crossing has assisted a western Manitoba woman with endometrial cancer. She is single and all her family is out of the province.
She needed to travel to Brandon for radiation, and was able to secure accommodation in Brandon in housing available for cancer patients who have had to travel from outside the area for treatment.
She had been working prior to her treatment but is now on long term disability. Unfortunately, expenses outweigh income at this time and she has an outstanding bill for her accommodation. She was able to access a support fund for this outstanding bill but it only paid a portion and she still has an amount outstanding. She has no private insurance that covers medical accommodation so is stuck.
Cancer Crossing has been able to make a contribution towards her outstanding accommodation bill.
Cancer Crossing helps those who 'fall between the cracks'.
Please support our cause so we can continue to assist cancer patients! We are receiving many requests.
Cheques may be mailed to Cancer Crossing Inc., 1-1660 Kenaston Blvd., PO Box 70029, Winnipeg, MB R3P 0X6
Buying our book 'Cancer Crossing' at McNally Robinson in Winnipeg, The Unexpected Gift in Winnipeg, Accucare Canada in Winnipeg and on Amazon worldwide will help us!
100% of your donation goes to cancer patients. We are all volunteers and all of our operating expenses are paid by Sponsors.
Thank you so much and please remember to let cancer patients know we are here to assist - they can message us through Facebook, e-mail us at info@cancercrossing.com or send a written request by mail.

WE ASSISTED RURAL MANITOBA CANCER PATIENT WITH CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY WHEELS OF HOPE PROGRAM FEE & MEDS
Cancer Crossing has assisted a southwestern Manitoba woman with breast cancer. She has had two surgeries and radiation and is now starting medication therapy.
She is struggling financially. She has a limited income; CPP, OAS and GIS. She was previously on income assistance with a CPP disability but since turning 65, she is now responsible for all medical related costs i.e. medical transportation and prescriptions.
She is stressed about her bills. She has prescription costs for other health issues, bills for a plumbing problem she had and the usual life expenses of food, rent and utilities.
Cancer Crossing has assisted her with the cost of the Canadian Cancer Society Wheels of Hope Program fee and some medication.
