CANCER CROSSING ASSISTS WITH TRAVEL EXPENSES FOR COLORECTAL MALIGNANCY SURGERY

Cancer Crossing has assisted a Central Manitoba gentleman with colorectal cancer.

He requires surgery in Winnipeg and is on a limited income.  The cost of travelling to Winnipeg and back for surgery has been identified as a financial hardship.
Cancer Crossing has made a contribution towards this patient's travel expenses for his surgery.

Cancer Crossing helps those who 'fall between the cracks'.

CANCER CROSSING HELPS NORTHERN MANITOBA LUNG CANCER PATIENT WITH TAXIS AND MEDICATION

Cancer Crossing has assisted a Northern Manitoba woman with lung cancer.
She is in her late 70's, lives on her own and her only source of income is her Old Age Pension. She is receiving chemo every two weeks and her legs are really bothering her. She has made many trips to the hospital for treatment and medical appointments. The cost of her taxi's and medications are adding up and she is struggling. Cancer Crossing is pleased to have been able to help this patient with some taxi trips and some medication.

CANCER CROSSING ASSISTS WITH RAILING FOR STEPS OUTSIDE THE HOME OF A RENAL CANCER PATIENT

Cancer Crossing has assisted a Western Manitoba gentleman with metastatic renal cell cancer. 
He is unable to work and his spouse is receiving EI compassionate care benefits.  He has applied to a financial assistance program but the application is experiencing hurdles. 
Although they are struggling with regular expenses, they have managed to acquire some of the equipment to help him remain in the home.  For him to be able to remain at home is very important to them, but due to limited finances, they are unable to come up with all the funds required to add a railing for the outside steps of their house.
Cancer Crossing has assisted with the cost of exterior steps for their home to help keep this family together.
