The owner is a lovely woman named Tara Torchia-Wells who has thoughtfully curated all the items in her shop to be safe for use by cancer patients. She has services available by providers experienced in working with cancer patients.

OUR FOUNDER DR. LUK, HAS RECEIVED YET ANOTHER AWARD!!
On Jan 31, 2016, our founder, Dr. Tse Li Luk, received a City of Winnipeg Community Service Award from Mayor Brian Bowman!
Citation - Dr. Tse Li Luk, O.M.
Dr. Tse Li Luk is a family physician based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He considers himself blessed with two professional passions, namely medicine and photography. He has donated his award-winning photographic prints to help raise funds for many local, national and international charities. He is also an avid volunteer and has donated his time and talent to various local charitable events around Winnipeg. In 2013, Dr. Luk founded Cancer Crossing which is an entirely volunteer run organization that raises funds for cancer patients. Cancer Crossing published a patient companion book and fundraiser for cancer patient services across Canada. The Cancer Crossing book is a compilation of stories of cancer patients and caregivers accompanied by touching black and white photographs.

HAPPY 2016!
Happy 2016 everyone! Cancer Crossing was blessed in 2015 with so much positive activity!
Our e-book was released on Amazon at the end of April. If you are into e-books, be sure to support us with a purchase. It is available on most Amazons worldwide!
In July, McNally Robinson in Winnipeg started to carry the softcover version of our book and in September we had our book launch there where it was standing room only!
It's a new year and Cancer Crossing is a motivating read. Hard to believe that those that have stared cancer in the eye say they are now better people and are living their day to day lives with that in mind. Pick up a copy in store or from McNally online - you will be glad you did!
Remember that all net funds we receive from book sales, and all funds we receive from donations go directly to our cancer patient financial assistance fund. Thank you to everyone who donated in 2015 and in December we received a very large donation to further the building of our fund!
