Cancer Crossing has assisted a rural Manitoba man with metastatic colon cancer. He is in his 30's and he and his wife were working on building a small farm when he was diagnosed. This diagnosis was a great surprise and as they said, they are in their 30's, Blue Cross was something they thought would be up for discussion when they were in their 40's. All their resources had been going into building their farm and becoming part of the community for children to come and interact with the farm animals.
Due to an adverse reaction to medication, this gentleman had to call an ambulance, and they ended up with an ambulance bill they were struggling to pay.
Cancer Crossing has made a contribution to the ambulance bill and we are so pleased we are here to help those who seem to have hit a wall.
