Hi everyone - just an update to let you know that the team at Cancer Crossing is doing well, and we hope that you and your families are also well!
Cancer Crossing is continuing to accept requests for assistance and we are continuing to process them. The process is all done remotely so we can continue to help cancer patients who are struggling financially as a result of their cancer diagnosis and subsequent cancer related expenses that have shifted them from 'managing financially', to 'struggling' financially.
We continue to be a group of volunteers so you might notice we are operating a little slower right now. Everyone is out of their normal routine and that includes all of us.
Cancer Crossing has assisted a Western Manitoba gentleman dealing with rectal cancer. He lives in a very small community and must travel to one of the larger towns in the region for chemotherapy. There are no volunteer drivers for the Wheels of Hope program in his area so he is driving the 200km return trip three times a week, every two weeks, by himself. His sole income is pensions and his income is fixed and limited. The cost of fuel for his travels to and from treatment are a financial stressor.
Cancer Crossing has made a contribution to his fuel costs to help alleviate the financial burden.
Cancer Crossing helps those who 'fall between the cracks'.
Please support our cause so we can continue to assist cancer patients! We are receiving many requests.
Cheques may be mailed to Cancer Crossing Inc., 1-1660 Kenaston Blvd., PO Box 70029, Winnipeg, MB R3P 0X6 or you can contribute by PayPal on our website.
Buying our book 'Cancer Crossing' at AccuCare Canada, 400 Tache in Winnipeg or at The Unexpected Gift, 1116 Portage Avenue in Winnipeg helps cancer patients too. You can also buy a book through us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
100% of your donation goes to cancer patients. We are all volunteers and all of our operating expenses are paid by Sponsors.
Thank you so much and please remember to let cancer patients know we are here to assist - they can message us through Facebook, e-mail us at email@example.com or send a written request by mail.
