Cancer Crossing has assisted a Winnipeg throat cancer patient. He was working for a temp agency before diagnosis. He did not have enough hours to quality for EI sickness so he applied for EIA. He has to wait for EIA to kick in so needs help with his day to day expenses. He is receiving food from Winnipeg Harvest but is behind on rent and utilities. Cancer Crossing has helped this patient with a contribution towards his basic living expenses while he waits for EIA to begin. Cancer Crossing helps those who 'fall between the cracks'.
