Cancer Crossing has been able to assist a man in his 60s, undergoing treatment for rectal cancer. He lives in a small town near Lake Winnipeg. He is on EI sick benefits while he gets chemotherapy and radiation in Winnipeg. His partner is disabled and cannot work. You can imagine the financial pinch they find themselves in as they pay for long distance travel and are on decreased income. Luckily their cancer social worker reached out on their behalf.
