Western Manitoba woman receives help

A few months ago Cancer Crossing was asked to provide financial assistance to a woman living near Riding Mountain National Park. She is in her early 60s and has uterine cancer. She lives on a small pension that she supplements with work hours, as she is able to do so. Sometimes weather prevents her from travelling to work, and sometimes her health impacts that. She also lives far from both Brandon and Winnipeg and sometimes she has to travel to one of those locations for treatment or for surgery. This is a financial burden due to her limited income. Fortunately her Oncology social worker contacted us to request help, which we were pleased to do. We so often take for granted that the health care we need will be accessible for us and this often is not the case. We appreciate all your donations so that Manitobans who must go long distances for care can do so. Please continue to help us do this important work by donating at https://cancercrossing.com/ Tax deductible receipts are provided.
