Cancer Crossing is a Manitoba non-profit organization providing financial assistance to cancer patients who are struggling financially with the added expenses that come with a cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment. Often these patients incur a reduction in income due to taking time off work in order to attend treatment or to care for a family member who is undergoing cancer treatment.
Cancer Crossing Mission is to help offset the non medical costs of cancer treatment such as:
Travel Costs for treatment, tests and appointments
Drugs and medical equipment
Child Care Expenses
Overnight stays
Lost income for travel companions
Wigs and prosthetics
Other expenses not covered by insurance
